Nylon Sling Belt
A nylon sling belt, also known as a webbing sling, is a type of lifting and rigging equipment made from synthetic fibers, typically nylon. It is used for lifting and moving heavy loads, and is an alternative to traditional chain or wire rope slings.
A nylon sling belt is made from a woven webbing material that is strong, durable and resistant to abrasion, cutting and most chemicals. They come in different widths, lengths and thicknesses, depending on the capacity of the load. They also have a higher elongation rate than wire rope slings, which can absorb some of the shock and impact during load movement.
Nylon sling belts are generally easier to handle and store than chain or wire rope slings, and are less likely to damage delicate loads. They are also lighter in weight and more flexible, which makes them easier to handle and maneuver. They are also resistant to rust and corrosion which makes them useful in various industries and environments.
However, nylon slings have a lower working load limit than chain slings, and are also affected by heat, UV light and chemicals. Therefore, they need to be inspected before and after each use, and should be stored in a cool, dry place to prolong their lifespan.
