Reversible Plate Compactor
A reversible plate compactor is a type of heavy construction equipment that is used to compact soil and asphalt. It is similar to a traditional plate compactor, but it has the added capability of being able to move forward and backward. This allows the operator to cover a larger surface area in a shorter amount of time, increasing efficiency and reducing labor costs. The reversible plate compactor typically has a large metal plate on the bottom that is vibrated to compact the soil or asphalt. It is often powered by a gas engine or electric motor and can be used for both new construction and repair work. It is commonly used for preparing surfaces for paving, building foundations, and other construction projects, such as backfilling trenches, filling and leveling of base course and sub-base materials in road and bridge construction.
